About

This stellar trio first came together in the Spring of 2004 performing classic standards and the original music of the groups leader, Rich Jenkins.  It's members, almost constantly rotating, come from diverse musical backgrounds and provide unique orchestrations. The result is what some call True Jazz, "Improvised Emotion...  played straight from the Heart!"

Jenkins has used the group's individual strengths to orchestrate swinging progressions, which outline story lines that both young and old appreciate.  Revelation and truth ring throughout Jenkins' verse and chorus, with a style and voice that are unique and lush. While the desire to "Pop" rules the minds and passions of most musicians, Jenkins and his minstrels are in it for the "Long Run" and perform in a manner and style that is timeless.  Having felt the "Honest Vibe" of small intimate settings, the trio works on the premise that their performances provide a theme and background for an audience to enjoy not only the music, but also the social setting around them.

"Entertaining always comes first, whatever it takes to make them tap their feet, and feel the beat!!!"

Most performances by the trio highlight Jenkins' original pieces, along with a repertoire of material ranging from Dylan to Sinatra, as well as Hendrix to Wes Montgomery, leaving the trio with the ability to draw applause and admiration from everyone who listens.
Within three months of the groups formation they were performing live radio broadcasts for Public Radio Station, WVIA 89.9Fm, within six months the group recorded their first CD titled, "Hum a few bars..." only to have two of its tracks find their way onto Commercial Radio, 102.3Fm, The Mountain.  Jenkins sums up the groups success with these words of wisdom taken from the verse of one his songs, "Be careful what you wish for Dear... cause Baby it might come true!!!"
